The Mowlem is Swanage’s cinema and theatre complex, located in the heart of town and situated right on the seafront.
As well as showing a year-round selection of films and NT Live screenings, there’s a regular programme of live theatre, music and comedy acts from both local and national performers.
The Mowlem’s Showbar is open before performances and during intervals, as well as during the day for coffee and cake. The Showbar & Taproom is also a popular venue in its own right, showcasing a wide range of up and coming musical talent and hosting regular entertainment evenings, such as a monthly quiz.
The building is also home to function rooms, which are available for hire and on the ground floor you’ll find the box office, The Cellar Bar, Fortes café & gelateria and beach shop, Shoreside.
