Swanage welcomes the return of four annual festival favourites this May: the family-friendly Pirate Festival (24 – 25 May) and Fairy Festival (30 – 31 May) during half-term, along with Purbeck Art Weeks (24 May – 8 Jun).
And Swanage Railway, which is celebrating its 140th anniversary this year, sees the return of its popular Diesel Gala & Beer Festival (9 – 11 May).
