Wilkswood Reggae Festival

🗓️ Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd July 2023

Dubbed by the team as ‘Notting Hill Carnival by the sea’, this intimate little festival brings the sound of roots, reggae, dub and ska to the heart of the Purbeck countryside.

Set on a farm just outside Swanage, Wilkswood is in a beautiful, rural spot just off the main road between Corfe Castle and Swanage.

Here’s a flavour of what to expect:

Over 60 home-grown and international acts will be playing across three stages, with headliners for 2022 including producer Mad Professor (performing with Sista Aisha, Sista Audrey, Canita and the Ariwa Posse Band) and the Twinkle Brothers.

On the Jah Spirit Stage there’ll be three of the UK’s top sound systems: Channel One, Mungo’s HiFi and Sinai Sound.

There’s a special woodland cleaning and dedicated kids’ field packed with activities, storytelling and entertainers, with festival favourites including bake-your-own pizza stall and supervised nature walks.

Food & drink

There’s plenty of food and drink options at the festival to keep you hydrated and energised, from delicious veggie & vegan soul food to award-winning Mexican street food and Jamaican jerk BBQ, as well as sweet treats like waffles.

Sip on a healthy smoothie or try out a rum-based cocktail for that authentic festival flavour.

The main bar has all the usual draft beers, ciders, wines and spirits, and there’s plenty of soft drink options too, including fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee.
