Dubbed by the team as ‘Notting Hill Carnival by the sea’, this intimate little festival brings the sound of roots, reggae, dub and ska to the heart of the Purbeck countryside.
Set on a farm just outside Swanage, Wilkswood is in a beautiful, rural spot just off the main road between Corfe Castle and Swanage.
Here’s a flavour of what to expect:
The festival’s Main Stage and Jah Spirit Soundsystem Stage are under cover, so the music can carry on whatever the weather.
There’s also a chill out zone, and a dedicated kids’ field and woodland clearing, with storytelling and music sessions held across the weekend.
Wilkswood Reggae Festival is family-friendly, with discounted ticket prices for children up to the age of 17 and under 3s go free.
Headliners for 2024 include Mad Professor, Iration Steppas and festival Dub Princess & Hotsteppas.

Food & drink
There’ll be a range of street food stalls on offer, including a Jamaican jerk BBQ, wood-fired pizza and vegetarian/vegan options.
The main bar has all the usual draft beers and lagers, plus rum cocktails, and there’s plenty of soft drink options too, including fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee.
Tickets
Choose from either day tickets or weekend tickets, which include on-site camping.

Volunteer at the festival – and get free entry!
