Swanage Christmas Market DECEMBER 2024

🗓️ Saturday 7th December 2024 (TBC)

One of Purbeck’s top winter attractions is the Swanage Christmas Market, where Dorset traders line the streets around Station Road.

There’s always plenty of bargains to be had, as well the chance of finding a one-off handmade gift from one of the stalls.

  • Christmas wreaths by My Scented Home
  • Christmas trees by Swanage-based Rudge's garden centre
  • Sea shanty singing by Kelp
  • Swanage Christmas Market stalls lining the street of Station Road
  • Mulled wine and spiced cider van at Swanage Christmas Market

Younger children can enjoy merry-go-round rides and visit Father Christmas in his grotto, and grown-ups can warm their fingers around a hot mulled wine or cider.

And there’s a small stage with festive entertainment for the whole family, along with various food stalls including hot dogs, donuts and locally-produced festive bakes.

The market is open from 10am – 4pm.

There’s always an array of handmade goodies crafted by local small businesses as well as community projects, such as the Durlston Shed:

And lots of food and drinks stalls to fuel your Christmas shopping:

Swanage & Purbeck Rotary

The Christmas market is organised by Swanage & Purbeck Rotary, which also helps Santa navigate his way on his sleigh around the streets of Swanage, Corfe Castle and Langton Matravers… If you hear the sound of Christmas songs outside one evening in December you’ll know something magical is coming up the road!

The team organise many other fun events throughout the year in and around town, such as their annual summer fete & craft fair at Sandpit Field.
