RNLI Lighthouse Loop Trail Run AUGUST 2025

Swanage’s annual Lighthouse Loop – part of Swanage Lifeboat Week – will be once again be part of the Purbeck Trail Series or running races.

Anvil Point Lighthouse at Durlston Country Park

The race has some challenging hills and fantastic views of Swanage Bay and Durlston, with the course starting at Peveril Point (Swanage Lifeboat Station), heading along the coast to Anvil Point Lighthouse, and back to the lifeboat station.

  • Race length: 5k
  • Race start: Peveril Point

Timings

  • 6pm: Registration
  • 7pm: Race start
  • 7.45pm: Trophy presentation at Swanage Lifeboat Station
  • 8pm: Event end

Tickets

The Purbeck Trail Series starts in June with a 10k run in Coombe Keynes near Lulworth and ends with the Studland Stampede in October.
