The Big Weekend sees the return of the local conservation group’s annual Discovery Fest on Swanage beachfront, with new events including films, talks and beach yoga.

Line-Up

Friday 18th September

Healthy Seas, Thriving Coast

Join in a Q&A with experts from Greenpeace, The Wildlife Trusts and Bournemouth University and learn about the impact of sea restoration on wildlife and our local economy and coastal community through films and talks.

Saturday 19th September

Beach Yoga

Charity beach yoga session with from from Stand Up for Yoga on Swanage Beach.

Discovery Fest

There’ll be live music, food and free family and beach activities, plus over 20 exhibitors at the annual Discovery Fest mini-festival day.

Come and meet some of Swanage and Purbeck’s community, nature and wellbeing organisations to find out what makes the area so special – and find out how you can get involved.

  • Timings: 10am – 3pm
  • Entry: Free

A share of the proceeds from tomorrow’s Purbeck Marathon is also going to support Planet Purbeck.
