This month’s movie night at Harman’s Cross village hall is the Irish drama My Sailor, My Love (12A).
The film looks at a later-in-life romance between Howard – a widowed sea captain played by James Cosmo (Braveheart) – and Annie (Bríd Brennan; Hope Street), who is hired as Howard’s housekeeper by his daughter Grace (played by Catherine Walker).
My Sailor, My Love is set on Ireland’s Achill island and explores themes of family and caregiving.
