The Boxing Day Swim on Swanage Beach is an annual tradition, which sees dozens of swimmers head to the water for a fun, festive dip.
Fancy dress isn’t compulsory, but there are prizes up for grabs for the best Christmas costume.

- Location – Meet on the strand outside The Mowlem
The Swanage Boxing Day Swim is also a great way to support local charity #WillDoes, which has organised the swim for the last few years.
The event itself is free to attend, with donations on the day going to the charity.
And if shoreside spectating is more your thing, there’ll be hot drinks and mince pies to enjoy whilst you watch the madness ensue.

Set up in memory of William Paddy, a local lad with a passion for animals and sports who sadly passed away at the age of 14, #WillDoes holds various events throughout the year, raising funds to help support young people who might be finding life hard.
