🗓️ Friday 26th December 2025
The Boxing Day Swim on Swanage Beach is an annual community tradition, which last year saw 200 swimmers head into the chilly December water for a fun, festive dip.
Meet just before 11am at Swanage Information Centre and, on the town crier’s bell at 11am sharp, it’s time to brave the water – festive hats encouraged!

The Swanage Boxing Day Swim is also a great way to support local charity #WillDoes, which has organised the swim for the last few years.
- Timings: 11am – 12.30pm
- Entry: Free (Donations kindly welcomed)
- Location: Meet on the beach outside The Mowlem
And if shoreside spectating is more your thing, there’ll be hot drinks and mince pies to enjoy whilst you watch the madness ensue.

#WillDoes
Set up in memory of William Paddy, a local lad with a passion for animals and sports who sadly passed away at the age of 14, the charity holds various events throughout the year, raising funds to help young people achieve wellbeing.
