Come and celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day today at the Swanage Bandstand.
It’s a chance for the community to come together in remembrance and commemoration and enjoy some live music to mark the occasion from Swanage singer, Karen Grant, who will be performing songs from the era.
The Last Post will also be played, followed by a two-minute silence.
- Timings: 11am – 12pm
- Entry: Free; no ticket required – retiring collection for the Veterans Association
Also in Swanage this evening there will be a special beacon-lighting ceremony at Durlston Country Park at 9.30pm.
