Award-winning vocal ensemble The Gesualdo Six is performing at St Mary’s Church tonight.
Joining the Six is trumpeter Matilda Lloyd as they present a programme of works from the golden age of polyphony through to modern compositions.
‘Radiant Dawn’ showcases music by Tallis and White, as well as Roxanna Panufnik, Alec Roth and Deborah Pritchard and explores different shades of light through music.
Highlights include Sir James MacMillan’s In Splendoribus Sanctorum, from his Strathclyde Motets, alongside Richard Barnard’s Aura, co-commissioned by the artists.
