🗓️ Wednesday 17th July 2024
Newton Manor Hall is hosting the first of its new Best of Purbeck music events.
After the success of its regular open mic nights, Newton Manor will now welcome local musicians to play for a small audience at this new monthly event.

Young and emerging musicians are encouraged to come along to perform, alongside more seasoned artists, as a way of developing confidence and gaining experience singing or playing in front of a supportive and friendly audience.
The evening will also raise money for local charities and good causes on the night, with tonight’s gig supporting The Loft Community Centre and the Swanage Skatepark Community Project.
Line Up
- 7.40pm: Keith Lockett – Rock, blues & soul covers and originals
- 8.15pm: Rob Mills/Rob Howes – Jazz duo
- 9pm: Pete Christie – Folk singer-songwriter & fingerstyle guitarist
- 9.35pm: Karen Grant – Swanage-based singer Karen performs everything ‘from the ’60s to opera to cheeky!’
All musicians give their time for free, with the aim of creating a community event where people can come together to enjoy great music and raise money for local causes.
