St Aldhelm Christmas Tree Festival

šŸ—“ļø Saturday 6th – Monday 8th December 2025

The annual Christmas tree festival in Langton Matravers is always a treat to get you into the festive spirit and a great way to support local charities.

St George’s Church is taken over on the first weekend of December for the three-day festival by community-decorated trees, each with an individual theme.

All are welcome to come and visit the church, meander through the magical trees and stop for a cuppa and a slice of cake.

From humble beginnings with just 17 trees on display and pre-recorded festive music in 2017, the village festival has grown year on year, raising over £10k for a range of charities and now showcasing live local musical talent.

Proceeds from this year’s event will go to RNLI Swanage and Purbeck Youth Music.

  • Timings: 10am – 5pm (tbc)
  • Refreshments will be available all day (cake donations welcome)
