šļø Saturday 30th – Monday 2nd December 2024
The annual Christmas tree festival in Langton Matravers is always a treat to get you in the festive spirit.
St Georgeās Church is taken over on the first weekend of December for the three-day festival by community-decorated trees, each with an individual theme.
All are welcome to come and visit the church, meander through the magical trees and stop for a cuppa and a slice of cake.
There will be various musicians performing during the festival too – if you are part of a local musical group and would like to get involved, get in touch with the church to reserve an entertainment slot.
All proceeds from the festive event go to local charities – this year, the East Dorset & New Forest branch of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and the National Coastwatch Institution (Swanage).
Last year, donations and the sale of refreshments helped to raise over Ā£1,500 for charity.
- Timings: 10am – 5pm
- Refreshments will be available all day (cake donations welcome)
