The ever-popular annual Pumpkin & Beer Festival at The Square in Worth Matravers is back this October, with its much-loved pumpkin weigh-in, vegetable monsters & scarecrow competitions, live music, theatre performance and pumpkin-themed food on the menu.
In addition to an array of home-grown pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and varieties, there’ll also be range of UK beers, ales and ciders to sample, along with live music into the evening.
- Entry: Free
Timings
- Start time: 11am
- 2pm: Seasonal performance, Piggery Jokery, from theatre company Hand to Mouth
- 8pm: Live music from Balkan house/gypsy folk duo Razzomo
Competitions
Fun for the whole family to get involved in – with prizes to be won in each category:
- Pumpkin Weigh-In: Bring your home-grown pumpkin or cheer on the growers of a range of pumpkin varieties
- Vegetable Monster Competition: Choose your favourite veggies and construct the most weird and wonderful beastie you can imagine
- Build a Scarecrow: Create a scarecrow friend from whatever you can find at home
Please get all competition entries in before 2pm.
