Sandy Hill Arts in Corfe Castle is hosting a packed programme of poetry and comedy events this weekend.
It’s free to enter and all poetry readings are free to attend, thanks to the Old Possum’s Practical Trust grant from the TS Eliot Foundation, with the exception of a special performance on Saturday night featuring Elvis McGonagall and Luke Wright, which is ticketed.
Poetry workshops will also be available to attend throughout the weekend for an additional £10.

Saturday 31st August
- 11.30am – 12.20pm: ‘Voiceless Isolation’ exhibition, reading & Q&A session
- 12.30pm: Dorset Poets
- 1.45pm – 2.45pm: Caroline Bird poetry reading and Q&A
- 3pm – 5pm: Poetry workshop with Caroline Bird (Cost: £10)
- 5.15pm: Emerging Poets, from beyond Purbeck
- 7.30pm – 9.30pm: Luke Wright and Elvis McGonagall (Tickets £15)
Sunday 1st September
- 12pm – 1pm: Esther Morgan – Poetry reading plus Q&A session
- 1.20pm – 3.20pm: Poetry workshop with Esther Morgan (Tickets £10)
- 3.20pm – 4pm: Stephen Boyce reading
- 4pm – 5pm: Emerging Poets from Dorset
- Till 6pm: Music, open mic and bar
