Get the date in your diary for Sandy Hill Arts’ annual Poetry Weekend – two days of readings, workshops and performances at the studios in Corfe Castle.
Highlights include readings with award-winning poets Isabelle Baafi and Rachel Long, who will also be running workshops.
There’ll be a special variety event on the Saturday evening, plus an open mic session and food & bar available all weekend.
Poetry readings are free to attend, with additional charges for individual workshops.

- 12.30pm – 1.30pm: Reading & discussion with Isabelle Baafi & Rachel Long
- 2pm -3.3opm: Workshop with Isabelle Baafi
- 3.45pm – 5.15pm: Workshop with Rachel Long
- 7pm: Music & poetry variety events featuring Ella Cruz, Baz Lewis & more
Sunday 6th September
- 12pm: Reading & discussion with Ruth Sharman & Stephen Boyce
- 1pm: Reading & workshop with Jen Feroze
- 2pm – 3.30pm: Poems on the spot all day
- 4pm: Reading & discussion with Elvis McGonagall & artist Tony Kerrins – to tie in with an on-site exhibition
