There’s plenty of fun to be had for the whole family at Corfe Castle this May half-term.
The Corporal of the Castle will be running interactive storytelling tours, plus there’s a fun family quest and a chance for kids to get green-fingered with some gardening.

Storytelling Tours
The Corporal of the Castle will be leading interactive storytelling tours to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Tours begin at:
- 11am
- 12.30pm
- 2pm
- 3pm
Corfe Castle’s Little Gardeners: Plant a Sunflower
Get green-fingered in Corfe by planting your very own sunflower.
You’ll receive an eco-plant pot in which to sow your seed, which you can take home with you and watch it grow.
This nature-based activity will run between Tuesday 27th – Friday 30th May only, from 10am – 4pm.
Family Quest: Flight of the Castle
Learn all about the bird life that lives in the castle ruin in the Flight of the Castle family quest.
It’s inspired by a nature book written by Anna Wilson and illustrated by Carolina Rabei.
Find all the quest boards to earn your prize.
- Timings: Daily between 10am – 4.30pm
Artisan Crafts
Watch demonstrations of heritage crafts, including stone and wood-carving, and wattle & daub, in the castle’s outer bailey.
- Fridays till December: 10am – 2pm
And, if you visit the castle on Monday 26th May you can enjoy a traditional May fair, organised by the village.
