Watch Swanage Pier be lit up for the season and enjoy festive, family-friendly entertainment whilst remembering loved ones this Christmas.
Festive lights can be dedicated to a special person or group of people as a way of thanking or remembering them, or simply to wish them a Merry Christmas.
Dedications come with an electronic certificate and tributes will be featured on the Shine a Light page of Swanage Pier’s website.
Lights Switch-On Timings & Tickets
Timings
The lights display on Swanage Pier will be turned on on Friday 13th December (postponed from Friday 6th December due to adverse weather forecast) and will then stay on throughout the festive season until early January.
- 5.30pm: Event start – enjoy live music from Kelp! and All Sort’d Choir, plus Christmas character entertainment
- 6pm: Lights switch-on by Swanage Pier’s special festive guest!
(Father Christmas will be visiting the pier for the Lights Switch-On, and you can also visit him at his special Swanage Pier Christmas grotto on selected dates throughout December.)
Tickets
- Adult: ÂŁ2
- Child (ages 2 – 14): ÂŁ1
- Family (2 adults & 2 children): ÂŁ5
Proceeds from this event go toward the pier’s ongoing maintenance.
Refreshments
- BBQ, mulled cider & mulled wine, plus all the usual refreshments available from the 1859 café
- Heated marquee to enable you to enjoy the festivities for longer
- The Pier shop will be also open to browse for Christmas gifts
