Horrible Histories Summer Trail & Activity Sessions
(Corfe Castle Village)
JUL/AUG 2026

🗓️ Wednesdays between 29th July – 26th August 2026

Join in a fun, family-friendly trail and series of free activity sessions in Corfe Castle village this summer – inspired by the Horrible Histories books.

The trail will take you around the village and can be done on any day (pick up your trail booklet from either Corfe Castle Library or Sandy Hill Arts), but the family activity sessions are on a Wednesday:

  • Book sessions: 10am – 12pm: Come to Corfe Castle Community Library on a Wednesday to listen to stories about castles and choose a book
  • Art sessions: 2pm – 4pm: Head to Sandy Hill Arts each Wednesday during the summer holidays to learn how to draw and paint the Corfe Castle ruin and make your own turret or crown

Book and Art sessions will be running on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 29th July
  • Wednesday 5th August
  • Wednesday 12th August
  • Wednesday 19th August
  • Wednesday 26th August

And on Sunday 9th August Sandy Hill Arts is running a special Horrible Histories day of events, with guest speaker and workshop-leader Martin Brown, illustrator of the children’s books.
