Discover archaeology at Corfe Castle this weekend as the National Trust hosts TV’s Time Team at the castle.
There’ll be a range of activities and talks, including:
- Visit the Time Team Geodome
- Guided walks around the castle
- Environmental archaeology demonstrations
- Mock excavation activity
- Try on a medieval costume
- Plus lots more, including blacksmithing, stonemasonry – and Roman & Anglo-Saxon poop identification!

In addition to the Time Team weekend special, Corfe Castle’s Festival of Archaeology continues with the following events:
- Monday 21st & Monday 28th July: Drop-in Family Day at North Barn
- Wednesday 23rd July: Meet the Purbeck Estate’s Heritage Archaeology Ranger Team
- Tuesday 29th July: Guided walk – The Rings & Corfe Common, 10am – 12.30pm
- Wednesday 30th July: Guided walk – A Tale of Two Mills, 2pm – 3pm
- Thursday 31st July: Time Team at Wytch Farm talk at Castle View Welcome Centre, 7pm – 9.30pm
