Come along to Swanage Railway this Christmas for a brand new festive event packed with traditional charm and Christmas cheer.
The “nostalgic, festive adventure” on the Yuletide Express will take you from Swanage Station, which will be decorated for the season, on a one-hour return journey during which you’ll settle in for a cosy Christmas celebration, packed with:
- Welcome from the Magic Ticket Collector
- Christmas songs led by the Railway’s Christmas Elves
- Meet & greet with Father Christmas as he makes his way through the train
Each child will receive a Christmas present, candy cane and – in true, traditional spirit – a satsuma, just like in the stockings of yore.
Children can also write their hopes for the festive season and hang them on the special Christmas Wishing Tree.
- Dress code: Feel free to come in your best Christmas jumper/pyjamas (prizes for the best-dressed travellers!)
- Arrival: Please arrive 30 minutes before departure time
- Refreshments: Festive bakes, treats & warming drinks will be available at the Railway’s refreshment kiosk for you to bring on board
