The Dorset County Show is a major date in the county’s agricultural diary, with loads packed in to this two-day event.
With some 6,000 exhibits including livestock, artisan food & drink and family-friendly entertainment, there’s plenty to keep you busy all day long.
The show ground’s located just outside Dorchester and includes lots of family-friendly activities including:

- Monster trucks
- Horse shows & equine competitions
- Showjumping
- Sheep competitions & sheering
- Livestock & farm produce shows
- Vintage tractor display
- Heavy Horse Village
- Rabbit & guinea pig competitions
There’s a large food and crafts marquee, showcasing some of the best local produce, as well as children’s fairground rides and entertainment.
You might find some more unusual things going on too, such as camel-racing, ferret-racing and scurry-racing…
