🗓️ Saturday 26th October 2024
Local charity Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is holding its special festival of light in Swanage once more.
This year the community event, held to remember loved ones, will take place at Swanage Bandstand.
There will be readings, local singers, live music and of course candle-lighting, providing a unique shared, community experience to remember and celebrate the lives of friends and family who have passed on.
The illuminations will not only create a stunning display for people to reflect together, but also provide a great opportunity to help raise money for the charity.
This event is free, but there’s a suggested donation of £5 to personalise a candle with a message, which you can do at the dedication station before it is placed on the beach.
Candles are LED, allowing them to be reused and safely placed on the sand.
- Timings: 5.30pm – 7pm
- Donations: You can make your donation on the day or in advance online
- Volunteering: If you’d like to get involved on the day, help is always appreciated – come along and shake a bucket to collect donations or provide general support
